African masks and carvings are both intriguing and complex. They personify
cultural functions, ancestor worship, births, deaths, fertility, healing and various
other events that affect the African Diaspora. Because of unfounded
superstitions, embracing this art form is not as prevalent as it should be. Sadly,
many of the African countries do not have the museums to preserve these
works of art. It is up to the Descendants of these artisans in conjunction with the
World Community, to embrace and preserve these beautiful art forms and to
educate ourselves as to their meanings.
Our love of African Art inspired us to make Afro-centric lamps
and to present them as an art form.
